WHITE BALL PRODUCTIONS
White Ball Productions was founded in 2015 by John Rokosz and Jeff Balmert, with a mission of fostering a self-sustaining film industry in their home town of Pittsburgh, PA.
Jeff has spent many years working in the film and television production field. After graduating from Duquesne University, he began working at KDKA-TV in Master Control. He then received his master’s degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center.
Jeff is also a professional voiceover artist, working with some of the area’s biggest and most well-known clients including UPMC, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has also done voiceover for clients around the country including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Defense, and the Whitehouse.
John's training in classical piano began at the age of 6, and his interest in the arts grew as he performed in piano-playing competitions, and started writing his own songs and creative stories. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition from Duquesne University, graduating Cum Laude.
John has composed and conducted film and concert music for varying ensembles including brass quintet, strings, solo piano, percussion, and choir. John's passion for composition, performance, and ensemble direction is apparent in every White Ball Productions project.
Jeff and John have both extensively studied storytelling and screenwriting, and use that knowledge in every project that White Ball Productions produces. They are also members of the Pennsylvania Film Industry Association; a group that promotes the economic growth surrounding Pennsylvania film and television productions.
